C47 Films Associates was officially named on Father’s Day 2010, a pivotal moment in our journey. That same day, a video we produced as freelance creators went viral—”I Fought For You”, a powerful veteran’s affairs film created in collaboration with The SoundTank. This project deeply resonated with audiences, reinforcing patriotism and respect for veterans across America. That viral success set the stage for Joshua & Shannon Pies to turn their dream of owning a full-scale video production company into reality.

Fast forward to today, and C47 Films has transformed into a leading video production company with headquarters and two video podcast studios in Winter Park, Florida, near the famed Hillstone Restaurant. Our journey from Rochester, NY, to becoming a recognized name in corporate video production, video podcasting, and content marketing has been remarkable.

In our early days, we focused on corporate video production and short films, helping brands craft compelling stories that elevate their identity. Our first paid project was for business leadership expert Jenn Sertl, which set the stage for future collaborations with industry leaders like John Maxwell and the John Maxwell Team. Today, our diverse clientele spans across manufacturing, technology, B2B services, tourism, and economic development.

While we are known for high-impact corporate videos, our creative roots run deep. Before launching C47 Films, Josh & Shannon starred in the Christian sketch comedy show 360TV, which gained worldwide traction in over 1,000 markets and three satellite networks. This background in entertainment, storytelling, and media production continues to influence our work today.

Even in the world of business video production, we integrate engaging narratives, dynamic visuals, and cinematic elements that captivate audiences. A prime example is our 2021 holiday short film, which brought a local brand to life with Santa cameos and comedic storytelling, reinforcing the power of branded video content.

Like many businesses, C47 Films faced unprecedented challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2022). In just three hours on March 20, 2020, we lost 75% of our business, forcing us to rethink our approach. The solution? Scaling content creation with high-frequency, low-friction video production to help businesses stay relevant in a rapidly shifting digital landscape.

This led to the launch of our subscription-based video production services, initially branded as BYOMC (Be Your Own Media Company). Inspired by Gary Vaynerchuk’s content strategy, the concept emphasized the importance of consistent content creation to maintain brand authority and market presence.

Now, in 2024, the BYOMC spirit has evolved into a cutting-edge video podcast production and marketing model. Our specialized video podcasting services help businesses create high-frequency video and audio content with maximum distribution reach. We craft content strategies that not only amplify online presence but also foster business relationships, attract ideal clients, and boost brand visibility.
