Execution builds companies.
Authority builds opportunities.
Execution builds companies.
Authority builds opportunities.
Most founders think they just need more visibility. They actually need intentional perception. This is not about ego. This is about leverage. About being someone people don’t just see, but trust before they even meet you.
– Josh Pies
Patterns Josh Pies Sees in Founders Every Day
That’s where authority begins and where it often stops.
But platform without positioning is directionless.
They create content, not leverage.
These aren’t guesses, they’re patterns Josh Pies see in real founders every day.

Why Authority Matters More Than Noise
Attention Is Loud. Authority Is Strategic.
The world is full of voices begging for attention. But attention without clarity is white noise.
Josh Pies built and run companies, lived through pivots, and seen firsthand that powerful perception doesn’t happen by accident, it’s engineered intentionally.
Founders who understand how they’re seen:
✅ Make better decisions
✅ Attract better opportunities
✅Accelerate growth faster than anyone else
Josh didn’t learn this from a textbook, he lived it.
” Authority isn’t fame. It’s when the market trusts your thinking before they meet you. “
Storytelling Is Strategy
In film, perception determines box office.
In business, perception determines valuation.
As a storyteller, producer, and filmmaker, Josh spent decades learning how narrative lands, not just how it sounds, but how it moves humans.
That may sound hippie capitalist, but it’s grounded in strategy and reality.
I don’t chase normal.
I chase meaningful impact.
Designing Credibility on Purpose
Over time, Josh Pies started formalizing what actually drives founder authority not noise, not virality, not luck but design.
He call it Authority Architecture, a structured way to engineer how your audience perceives you so that credibility, trust, and opportunity compound over time.
It’s not explained in a slogan, it’s a system. And it lives beyond this page.

The Hippie Capitalist Philosophy
Josh Pies often describe himself as a Hippie Capitalist.
Someone who believes business should be both generous and ambitious.
Give massive value.
Build meaningful relationships.
Operate with integrity.
But also build companies that win.
You can lead with purpose and still build something powerful.
In fact, he think the best founders do both.
The Path That Shaped My Thinking
Long before founding companies, Josh Pies was experimenting with entrepreneurship as a kid, selling handmade items, trading snacks, and finding creative ways to create value. That curiosity about how ideas become businesses has never left.
Josh Pies graduated with a triple major in Economics, Business, and Philosophy, blending analytical thinking with human insight, a combination that later shaped how he approaches storytelling, leadership, and perception.
Josh Pies spent more than two decades working in film, television, and narrative-driven media, studying how stories shape perception and influence audiences. He later became the Executive Producer of the Oscar-qualifying films “Crooked & Narrow” and “Dark My Light.”
Josh Pies founded C47 Films to help leaders, founders, and organizations communicate their ideas with cinematic clarity and strategic narrative. What began as a film studio evolved into a media and authority-building platform for founders.
Over time Josh Pies began seeing patterns in how founders were perceived in the market. Some had great businesses but little authority. Others shaped perception intentionally and opportunities followed them. This observation became the foundation for what Josh now calls Authority Architecture.
Josh Pies works with founders, leaders, and organizations who want their thinking, authority, and narrative to travel further than traditional marketing allows. Through media, conversations, and strategic storytelling, he helps leaders design how the market perceives them.
WHO IS THIS FOR
This is for founders who are:
✔ Building something meaningful
✔ Already getting traction
✔ Ready to be seen as inevitable
NOT FOR
This is not for:
✖ Influencers chasing attention
✖ Random Content Makers
✖ People seeking quick hacks
Authority is intentional. This is for builders who know that.
If you’re building something significant and want your authority to reflect it, let’s talk strategy, not noise.
The Part That Grounds It All
